2008 was all about Lil Wayne and T Pain ,,featured on EVERYTHING , dont worry I will not start naming off everything they were featured on because that would take up my hole page lol!! Truth be told ,,,I never was a Lil Wayne fan when he was on Cash Money Millionaires,,matter of fact I thought they were crap!! True story ,,,but I have to admit his now squeaky crackled voice (because he cant sing )has now won me over with the beats and weird sound he got on the Carter III. I guess because it is different and catches on easy...T Pain with the Audio Vox sound definetly is winning votes on the "catchy" song themes of the year,,started out on his own and even won females over with the song" I'm in love with a stripper" , granted we felt weird singing that sentence out loud in public but that song was "catchy " ;)

From Acne jeans to J Lindeberg makes Sweden famous for clothing design and gives the labels BIG names around the world. Celeb's like Justin Timberlake to hip hop's Fabolous are wearing these labels ,,,

The Hills finale 4 loooord ,,never ending story

Now since I already started talking reality tv , the biggest of them all is The Hills!
The reality show about ,,hmm young rich kids who get any opportunity they ask for, what can be more unREAL? I am not sure why MTV insists on making shows like Sweet 16 and the Hills to make all these young kids watching this think oooo this is how real life is or I want that?

For those who dont know the Hills was a follow up of the first reality show called Laguna Beach which was about ,,sunny side california kids who were all rich driving the newest beemers and mercedez at the age of 16 walking around looking like they wanted to be 30 already which was kind of sad and having dramas like any other teen has at that age.


Then came the crazy Hills which was a hit in the U.S and Canada,,part 4 just finished and may I say most of them are just living in the boubble of wanting to be famous since rich they already achieved by being born ,,now they join Paris in famous for pretty much being rich and showing yourself on TV,,wow!

And to top it off they are now taking individuals out of the series to have their own series like The City with Whitney coming up in 2009 and Broady has a series called something stupid I cnt even remember lol about guys being friends? anywhoooo MTV come with something realistic and something more creative than rich kids and how they succeed in life,without having to do anything !
As Charlize Theron said it best : This show is about nothing!!

well I am not surprised these little divas is going solo after marketing a clothing label and shoe line , this was expected coming from a line of success stories such as uncle Russel Simmons who only owns Phat Farm, Did all the Def Jam Comedy at the Apollo back in the day ,,the list of success goes on he married a supermodel Kimora Lee Simmons who before she divorced the *father of hip hop* launched a small label called Baby Phat,,,hmmm are we surprised that the young simmons are following in the footsteps ? Not really!

CLaSSiC!!!

On Saturday night what was on the tube? A classic for all of us from the early eighties and late 70´s ,,Boys n da hood!!! Its crazy when I watch this movie how many stars in the making was in this one movie back then hardly known to the public ,,such as , Cuba Gooding Jr, Morris Chestnut, Nia Long , Angela Bassett and Laurence Fishburne and Ice Cube to name the main characters!!
This movie believe it or not had so many messages for youth that still applies today!
From single moms trying to raise their sons , Fathers showing their sons how to grow and with respect ,,How certain areas and neighbourhoods are treated like they dont excist to the rest of the world and gives no hope for the youth of those communities to feel that there is a way out.
I mean to me the parts that stand out the most in this movie are

• When Laurence Fishburn talks to the community about crack and how it was brought in by the government from different countries to be supplied in the ghetto's to kill people
  
• Also when he speaks to the youth in compton about them killing each other and thats how the american people would want them to do
  
• When Ice Cube says , *Either they dont know , or they dont show , Or just dont care about whats going on in the hood*
  
• When Cuba gets stopped by the police and a black police officer not only calls him the N* word but points a gun at his head and says it would be better w less of them around , u see the racism within the same communities
  
• Mainly what I love in this movie is the message of friendship no matter how hard your living situation may be they are always there for eachother , The bond between a man and his son and the responsibility needed for a boy to have both parents in their life
  
• Finally Angela Bassett said it best when she tells Laurence her ex husband while leaving her son for him to take care of , that she can take care of her baby and teach him all she knows ,,But she can't teach him how to be a MAN

Being born in Sweden living in Toronto there are certain traditions that I miss out on not being back home during the holidays ,,,such as : Lucia on dec 13th , we all grow up w the girl w the prettiest long hair to be chosen 4this , to be the leader of the human train of people w glitter in their hair and the big paper cones on the boys heads ,,,as the Lucia you have to carry this halo u may call it of green branches w burning candles on top as u sing all the xmas carrols lol ,,no we are not crazy its actually a nice lil tradition that originates from Italy and somehow made it all the way up to Sweden ,,could have something to do w the days they use to burn witches but dnt quote me lol either way ,,join in learning one swedish xmas tradition at a time on my blog ;) ,,Oh

reality shows must not have any topics left!

OMG ,,,we live in the days when reality shows are on 24-7, when so called *real* people become celebrities!! Long gone are the days when people with actual talent were on TV and u could look up to them cause of their special skills or talents. Now you can become famous by either acting a fool or taking your clothes off! I mean from Hulk Hogans daughters party life to Now 50 CENT having a bad baaaad attempt to copy Diddy's latest reality show called I want to work for diddy! I mean we all want to live good and have money to not have to struggle to survive,,not many can say I dont need or want the finer things in life ,but to what cost? Your dignity? I mean I watched half of the 5o's show today and OMG these people take any abuse coming out of his mouth like he is their dad or somethng and they just all take it and try to be someone he wants them to be all to get 100 000 and to get some airtime? WOW society has really made people do anything and I mean ANYTHING to get some extra money in their pockets so they can go and buy some bling and brag about hanging w a celeb ,,,long gone is dignity, respect for self ,,these shows are getting real tired ,,aint nothing creative about airing a show about how to boss around people who dnt have as much money as u do ,,Someone please come up w a better consept of what to show todays youth on tv!!!!

Ok so anyone that has spent any tv time with me
knows I have been a sucker for ,,,yes Dr Phil ,now u might laugh
but once in a blue he does stand out with some topics in his daily
show! Now u knw anyone approved by Oprah has to have atleast some

So the topic of the day that stood out to me was about relationships,
now Agreed alot of it I did not think was worth paying attention to however
as I sat by my comp I heard him speak of how important intimacy was
in a relationship ,,which I agree on and he used the word in a very clever way ,,lets see if u clever enough to understand it!
He said - Intimacy which in reality stands for IN TO ME SEE.
Now for all of u on the same thinking level know this is true and very well put to explain one word. Good Job Dr Phil u have motivated me with one word today:)

The dEaTh of My Mac coMe Back 2Life!!!

U know b4 today I ws swearing @ my mac who just died after trying to update it
with these annoying automatic pop ups that are suppose to be good 4my computer!!!
I mean 4 a comp that doesnt get viruses it sure ws looking SICK to me, let me refrace that it was
DEAD!!!! I went to the apple store
in the Eaton center and voila! After 20 harmless min of my life time this dude had my comp back from death,,,I mean shoot I saw the light!! haha thats the light of my comp coming back on , and I felt like I could breathe again,,with that said all my pics and designs will now soon go on that external hard drive I am going to purchase next,,, I never want to feel the death of my Powerbook again!!!
So yes all those extra thousands I spent on this machine ws worth it cause afterall my repair was free,,thats what I call service,,YES MAC U HAVE DONE IT AGAIN ,,AND I CAN GO BACK TO ENJOYING MY MAC VS
